Full Bio
Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia (the country, not the state), Gio studied classical piano and oboe through the Tbilisi State Conservatory. The rippling socioeconomic effect of the Soviet Union's collapse, as well as continued occupation of his country by Russia, eventually led Gio's family to relocate to the US.

Growing up, Gio played whatever instrument he could get his hands on: the accordion in grandpa's basement, a harmonica in his pocket wherever he went, the bass guitar a friend gifted him, a mandolin that was too 'cool' to pass up...

After moving to the US, Gio obsessed over the guitar, first learning dozens of classic rock solos and later getting enamored by flamenco and jazz, eventually working his way up to playing guitar at a private party for the Spanish Ambassador to the United States in Washington DC. He rounded out his musical knowledge by continuing his education at Metropolitan State University of Denver, studying Jazz Piano.

Now, having played music for three decades and working professionally at weddings and luxury events for 10+ years, Gio is a staple in the Denver music community.
A sought-after private event performer, Gio's repertoire spans hits from the 60s to modern crowd-pleasers, hundreds of beautiful instrumental pieces in the classical, jazz, and flamenco traditions, and technical skill that leaves audiences spellbound.

As a wedding DJ, Gio adds the magical touch of live music to the standard DJ service, by taking tasteful keytar and guitar solos on top of lively popular tunes everybody loves, occasionally jumping on to the dancefloor to really amp up the energy.
